A thick, luxurious iced latte featuring a dense, mousse-like whipped cream cheese and pumpkin topping that mimics the taste and texture of a muffin, served over cold brew or espresso.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces (56g) block-style cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) 100% pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon (8g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 shots (2 ounces/60ml) espresso or strong cold brew
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice (whole, oat, or almond)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, pumpkin puree, powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
  2. Using an electric hand mixer on medium-high speed, beat the mixture until smooth, creamy, and holding stiff peaks (about 60-90 seconds). Scrape down sides as needed.
  3. Brew the espresso or prepare strong cold brew. If using hot espresso, let it cool for a minute or two so it is not piping hot.
  4. Fill a tall glass to the top with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the milk over the ice, then pour the cooled espresso over the milk and ice. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Spoon the pumpkin cream cheese mixture generously on top of the iced latte to create a thick layer (about an inch).
  7. Optionally sprinkle a tiny pinch of pumpkin pie spice on top for garnish.
  8. Serve immediately with a wide-bore straw or spoon.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature to avoid lumps. Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pie filling. If the puree is watery, drain it in cheesecloth first. The topping is best made fresh; do not freeze it as it will separate.
